The central air conditioning system consists of four parts: condensing unit, air ducts, air duct accessories and components, and end equipment and components of the air conditioning system.  We can roughly divide it into industrial central air conditioning systems and household central air conditioning systems.

Household central air conditioning is a type of air conditioning system that uses a single unit to control different rooms through air ducts or hot and cold water pipes, with  pipes connected to multiple terminals (indoor units), in order to achieve indoor air conditioning. The household central air conditioning system can currently be divided into three main systems:

One is the water system represented by China;

The second is the air duct system represented by Europe and America;

The third is the refrigerant system represented by Japan.

This article will introduce the characteristics of water system. The household central air conditioning water system generally consists of several parts: cold/hot water main unit, water pump, water pipe, and fan coil unit.  During the operation of the water system, the semi centralized fan coil system assumes all indoor loads from the hot and cold water units. And the fan coil units in each room are connected to the hot and cold water units through pipelines, relying on the provided cold and hot water for cooling and heating.

The water system has flexible layout, good independent regulation, and high comfort, which can meet the needs of complex room types for dispersed use and independent operation of each room. In addition, the current new type of water system air conditioning is also one of the best solutions for the application of floor heating systems. By effectively combining with floor heating, it adopts a medium low water temperature large-area low-temperature radiation heating method, which is more comfortable and energy-saving than traditional fan coil heating systems.

Advantages and disadvantages of central air conditioning in water systems:

Advantages:

 1. Advantages of Water System Household Central Air Conditioning - 'Comfort'

The comfort of household central air conditioning in water systems is mainly reflected in the air outlet temperature of 15-18 ℃, which makes the human body feel mild and not hot. Moreover, compared to fluorine system air conditioning, water system air conditioning only absorbs a small amount of moisture in the room during the refrigeration process, making the human body feel neither dry nor dry. If a variable frequency water system central air conditioning is used, it will automatically adjust the appropriate temperature value for the human body based on the indoor room temperature.

 2. Compared to fluorine systems, water systems have lower initial investment costs and lower later usage costs for household central air conditioning. Compared to later usage costs, water systems are more cost-effective because controlling the indoor unit system separately can use the cold/heat storage of the water system to avoid unnecessary energy consumption during partial loads.

 3. Long Working time, water system household central air conditioning can have a lifespan of up to 20 years, and maintenance is convenient; The basic lifespan of fluorine system central air conditioning is about 15 years.

Disadvantages:

  1. It requires a large space, as the water machine uses water as the medium, it also requires a water pump and water tank, resulting in a relatively large volume of external equipment.

  2. The cooling speed is slow. Due to the fact that the central air conditioning system in the water system exchanges heat with water, there is a slight delay, with a cooling speed of 2-3S; The refrigeration speed of the fluorine system is relatively fast, around 1-2S.

  3. Maintenance is troublesome, as the temperature is controlled through water circulation. Once a problem occurs, the entire system needs to be cleaned and maintained; Professional insulation and pipeline connection treatment are required for installation to ensure the long-term normal operation of the entire system
